Alternative Asset Programs
Capture the Power of Fully Managed Buy/Sell Programs

The financial program descriptions provided below are simply illustrations of what may be possible
through various special purpose private placement programs. Actual program yields are
always contracted privately between program participants and program principals.

Introduction to Alternative Asset Programs
Although programs were originally designed to accept cash as the basis for participation, more recently a wide variety of alternative assets can be used in place of cash. Although there are programs that will accept lower asset valuations, in general, the valuation of alternative assets must be at or significantly above the $100 million threshold. Over time we have been introduced to various programs that accept unencumbered, non-cash assets such as those listed below and each of these programs have their own respective valuation requirements.

BRAZILIAN LTN Solutions
SRM Services has developed a sizeable audience in Brazil, where many owners of Letras do Tesouro Nacional (LTNs) are seeking programs to sell or trade their LTNs. To better serve this special audience, SRM has re-published its LTN Information page in Portuguese as Informações Sobre LTNs Brasileiras.

Over the past several years, our SRM LTN Team has evaluated and tested over a 100 different Brazilian LTN Trade and/or Sale Programs (programas letras do tesouro nacional). Most bond owners know how complex and difficult it has been to navigate the processes required to complete an LTN transaction. Recurring events such as inconsistent guidelines from the Central Bank of Brazil (BCB), untimely downgrading of Brazil's government debt by credit-rating agencies, and turmoil in the financial markets related to AML legislation and BASEL III banking requirements have created an LTN environment that required LTN programs to restructure themselves, often multiple times.

Despite unexpected delays encountered over the past few years that have hindered our primary LTN program's purchasing activity, we maintain our very high confidence in this program. We now have over 90 LTN packages officially submitted to this purchase program and we expect first purchases to occur this year.

For further information on our current LTN services, please review our LTN Information Page  (Informações Sobre LTNs Brasileiras).

HISTORICAL ASSET Programs
Historical assets that can be submitted for redemption/purchase are limited to government-issued bonds and boxes that were backed by gold when issued. These include Federal Reserve Bonds and Notes, Treaty of Versailles boxes, Chinese bonds, and some Mexican bonds (primarily Black Eagles). These assets are the most difficult type of asset to place into a program due to the extremely high rate of fraudulent submissions and the fact that most of the authentic assets have already been submitted and registered for redemption/purchase. While the valuation of these assets is obviously of interest, the most important issue is the authenticity of the asset.

IN-GROUND & ABOVE-GROUND ASSET Programs
In-ground and above-ground assets can typically, but not always, include uncut gems, cut and polished gems, jewelry, art, real estate, unprocessed precious metals such as ore, gold concentrate, gold doré bars, and refined precious metals such as hallmarked gold and platinum bullion. These assets must have a valuation (appraisal, gemologist’s report, etc.) and must be held in a certified repository capable of issuing an acceptable Safe Keeping Receipt. Some programs require that the asset be moved to a specified bank or repository for the term of the program and/or may require a separate appraisal of the asset at the participant’s expense. Currently, we have no knowledge of any hard asset programs that are available. Watch our Breaking News page for announcements about new hard asset programs that may become available
.

SPECIALTY ASSET Programs
Specialty instrument programs have been known to accept other instruments such as CMOs, IBOEs, sovereign guarantees, surety bonds, and senior life settlements. These programs have gone out of favor in recent years and we do not attempt to stay current on these type of programs and we do not have access to any programs based on these assets.
